Back from Brinkley!!!

The British Council DFID Reciprocal Visits-  THS teachers, Ms. Ruby Bose and Ms. Debahuti Das visited Brinkley Grove Primary School from June 27th to 1st July, 2011. It was a wonderful trip and the two teachers have come back with a lot of wonderful memories...

The Heritage School visit to Whitecross in October 2011!!

The children and teachers working on the British Council DFID GSP programme are all geared up to visit the UK in October(5th-15th) 2011!
We are shortly going to visit the Chowbaga village once again and follow up our work on water conservation and women empowerment............

THS and Brinkley Grove will be working on joint curriculum projects uinder the British Council GSP programme from April 2011 to March 2012.

Some pictures of the Whitecross visit

The Whitecross visit generated a lot of interest among children and teachers on both sides and they did some good work together. The highlights were:

• a visit to Chowbaga (where they met the local people and interacted with them- they also taught them to make beautiful paper bags, to save water, and to keep their surroundings clean.)
•  
• The UK team participated whole-heartedly in Kolaahal. our cultural fest.
•  
• Living with host families was a huge learning experience
•  
• A tour of the city was also very interesting.
•  
• The UK children explored various facets of Indian life and culture

We look foreward to meeting again!!!!
